Well… i got this controller 2 weeks ago…..
before i use it my first impression was good…. nice touch… good design….
everything was fine….
i plug it, it worked nicely….
BUT after i played MW2 with it…..
i knew that this controller was designed for any game other then MW2 or FPS…..
it rumbles & have sixaxis… but it lacks the must important thing on FPS…. the good analog stick….
the analog HAS A FREAKING DEAD ZONE…. don’t believe anybody said otherwise…
i used it for many games… ( MW2 , Infamous ,UC2, etc… ) the same thing… when u turn the analog stick to right it moves without problems.. but when u move it to left…@@ there is a big big dead zone…
i do not recommend it…
i use now my old Logitech controller… which by the way the best analog stick i ever used for FPS…

I haven’t had the connection issues that others have reported, but I haven’t used the controller much. I bought it for use with Modern Warfare 2, because I’m a multi-console owner and I like the 360 controller design better, but I prefer PS3.
This controller does give the 360 controller feel for PS3. However, and this is critical for me, there are significant dead-zones on the control sticks. They don’t feel cheap like most 3rd-party accessories, but switching between this controller and a Sony DS3 is like night and day as far as sensitivity goes. If you’re not the type that likes to snipe or take distance shots in shooters you’ll probably be ok, but if you need the ability to make small and precise movements, you’re out of luck.
I wanted to love it, but like all 3rd party controllers I’ve tried they just haven’t been able to get the joysticks right.
Also, a tip for anyone that wants to use this for Modern Warfare 2, switch the buttons to one of the « Flipped » options to make the controls identical to the 360 version (aka the triggers are the aim and fire buttons). It makes the controller much more comfortable to use.
SUMMARY: Better than most 3rd-party controllers and the best option for 360 owners converting to PS3, but for precision you still can’t beat a Sony DS3. PlayStation 3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller

After playing on the xbox 360 for so long and having muscle memory and just being more comfortable with the controller, I have not liked using the PS3 controller at all. To me it is to small, too lite, the L2, R2 are not curved, and the add on triggers did not help much, I ran across this controller, I was worried because we all know that 3rd party controllers are usually crap. Well, not this one, It works perfectly, it had a little more weight, nice grips on the wings, and no lag whatsoever. Each button feels great and they respond as any serious gamer expects. Now, the only downside, is it is not bluetooth so their is a USB dongle, so you can’t turn the system on and off with the controller, but that is the only thing that is negative. I don’t normally write reviews, but for this product I wanted you to know that I hesitated too and I am glad I bought it. I got mine during the black friday sale and I had a credit from a pre-order so I got it for 19$. But I will definitely buy a second one, and don’t mind paying full price, its just that good. This controller solves the problem for all 360 users crossing over to become dual console owners.

This is the best PS3 controller on the market. It is rock solid construction. Nice weight(unlike the six axis) and perfect analog placements. If you play FPS games on the PS3 this is the controller for you. Ive never had a drop in signal like the first reviewer but that could be due to other signals that effect the 2.4 band in his home and not mine(microwave, cordless phones ext). And the rumble on this thing is strong. Its almost like a wired controller. Strong motors, great motion controls and perfect analog placements. Now I will say im use to the 360 controller and wanted a similar feeling set up for my PS3. This fits the bill perfectly.

Purchased approx. 8 months ago . Play about 40-50 hrs a week of COD 4. I have had no issues with the controller and will buy another when this one wears out, since I prefer the XBOX stick layout.
